Bible Study Opportunities

SUNDAYS

¡ A Sunday morning Adult Bible Class is led by Pastor Peters. Please join us at 9 AM each Sunday morning for an informal discussion and study of Matthew.  Please come and invite others. The coffee pot is always on. We meet in the second floor fellowship hall.

¡ Another Sunday morning Bible Class  -- Scripture Readings for the Week is also at 9 AM. The class meets in the library on the 2nd floor and is led by Pastor Linn.

¡A Christian Parenting Class is offered during the Sunday School/bible class hour. All parents, grandparents, couples, and singles are cordially invited to share and to learn. Currently the topic is "Boundaries," how to teach children to take responsibility for their behavior, their values, and their lives. Mary Eschels leads this class and we meet in the sanctuary basement.

¡ The Young Adult Sunday Bible Class is led by Field Worker John Fraiser and is for all college students and young adults 25 and under.  The class meets Sunday mornings at 9 AM in the sanctuary basement across from the small kitchen.

¡ The High School Class’ topic is contemporary issues for young people. We meet Sundays at 9 AM. Please join us in the youth room. This class is led by Vince Roehrig, Aaron & Edie Silletto, or Jim Maxwell..

¡ A nursery for children 2 and under is available during Sunday School / Bible Class.

WEDNESDAYS

The Wednesday evening adult class  meets from 6:30 to 7:20 PM in the 2nd floor meeting room. We break for the summer and resume in the fall. We also break for Lent and Advent.

HOME BIBLE STUDY

Our Home Bible Study Group meets in various members' homes once a month on a Sunday evening at 7:00 PM. The current study is Ephesians.  This group is led by Mark Helmkamp.

JUNIOR CONFIRMATION

Junior Confirmation class meets from 4:45 to 6:00 PM on Wednesdays during the school year. This class is a two-year program on Christian doctrine for children in grades seven and eight. This year confirmation was on Sunday, April 20.

PASTOR’S CLASS

Pastor's classes are for prospective members; they also serve as a review of Biblical teachings for current members. Each series of six classes meets once a week. Each February and September marks the beginning of a series. All classes are taped for those who must miss a session. Usually the classes meet on Sundays following the service and include a light lunch.

The next Pastor's Class will begin in September.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Vacation Bible School is held in the evenings in June, July, or August from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.  Classes are for children age three through those going into grade eight. VBS features study, songs, crafts, games, skits, treats, and more.

The 2008 VBS theme is  Friendship Trek, an amazing hike through the Bible to meet Jesus, our Forever Friend!
